General Information

Adelle Turner Elementary School has continued to be a symbol of pride for the South Oak Cliff community. With a rich tradition of staff, community, and parental involvement, the school embodies its motto: Working Together for Success. A prime example of this involvement is illustrated by our Dad’s Club, which is known throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area for providing excellent mentoring, athletics, and tutoring services for our students.

At Adelle Turner, expectations are high, and there is a constant effort toward academic excellence. Turner has moved toward a greater emphasis on math and science as the new literacy for students. The school has implemented a Science Club, mandatory Science Fair participation, Family Science Night, Math Club, Math Olympiad team, Math UIL team, Family Math Night, and science and math camps. These academic programs, along with a variety of enrichment and extracurricular programs make Adelle Turner Elementary School a school of choice for all families.
